visuals not refreshing

I published a dashboard and put 3 visuals on it. Now they are called tiles

I also put on a page of slicers using "Pin Live Page" as descirbed by https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/How-to-filter-tiles-on-a-dashboard-in-power-BI-service/m-p/.... This is a work around to give me the ability to change my slicers, and update each of the visuals on the dashboard accordingly

When I change a value of the slicer, none of the visuals are updated.

BUT, when I click on a visual, it zooms in on the visual in the dashboard, and which is updated.

Is there a reason the dashboard visual does not update?

When you pin a live page to dashboard, all the reaction will be same with report, when you pin tiles to dashboard, slicer can not be pinned as a single tile. You said "BUT, when I click on a visual, it zooms in on the visual in the dashboard, and which is updated.", could you share some screenshot with masking the sensitive data to clarify more details about your issue?
