var different results

Hi All,

I am doing the calculation two ways and get different results.

Here is my main DAX expression.

Calc/direct =
var summay= CALCULATETABLE (
ADDCOLUMNS (
CROSSJOIN ( 'Date', Provisioning ),
"DateDiff", DATEDIFF ( 'Date'[Date], Provisioning[CREATION_DATE], DAY )
)
)
var currDate=SELECTEDVALUE('Date'[Date])
return
AVERAGEX(FILTER(summay,[DateDiff]<14&&[DateDiff]>0&&[Date]=currDate&&[RO_ACTION_TYPE] = "B"),[DateDiff])

I wanted to check the correctness of the result and divided the above expression in to two.
Firstly I create calculated table with this
summay2 = CALCULATETABLE (
ADDCOLUMNS (
CROSSJOIN ( 'Date', Provisioning ),
"DateDiff", DATEDIFF ([Date], Provisioning[CREATION_DATE], DAY )
)
)
And create a measure
Calc/table =
var currDate=SELECTEDVALUE(summay2[Date])
return
AVERAGEX(FILTER(summay2,[DateDiff]<14&&[DateDiff]>0&&[Date]=currDate&&[RO_ACTION_TYPE]="B"),[DateDiff])

I have checked this way on static data and get the correct numbers. When I move to the direct query  I have completely different results for the two ways above.

What's causing this behavior?

Hi @baribir,

Can you share a sample data and some snapshots?

Were the two [Calc/table] the same?
