value extraction

Hello, I need to extract a value from the metadata table in xml format.
Could you tell me please what is the error in this code? Thank you
 ExtractValue(biblio_metadata.metadata,'//datafield[@tag="650"]/subfield[@code="a"]')

Hi @Anonymous ,

 

If your data or table contains an XML column or LOB data, you must use the DATAFORMAT=XML clause on the EXPORT DATA or EXPORT TABLE command.
