i have one question my client is asking me to create reports using sap fico/hana or dynamics 365 crm into power bi .
he will ask me to use a connector and pull the data from his tables.
but if i want to see the size of the data and to decide if i have to choose between import or direct query mode
how will i know the size of the tables am bringing inside.
because some financial datasets might be too large.
i don't have access to his CRM/Sap tool.
he will only give me the access to it so i can pull the tables.
please tell how to decide the storage mode between import or direct in these scenarios.
Count of just 1 table and row counts doesn't decide the size.
Even before pulling data is there a possibility to know the size .
Hello @Siv_Abu ,
Try connecting the data to power query and check the size by going to the transform tab and then to statistics then count values and it would give you a count of the rows in the table
