@tl1238, which version of Power BI Desktop you're using? Any chance you download and install the latest version of Power BI Desktop to see whether the same issue exits? Please check: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=45331 , version number is 2.34.4372.322.
I am having the exact same problem. I feel like I need to hit "Save" every couple of minutes when building a report because it is crashing so much. I "send a frown" and got a reply saying,...
"Thank you for the feedback! This is an issue we've seen several customers hit while building reports. We are working on fixing the issue and will be releasing regular updates, so be on the lookout!"
I just hope the updates come soon because, for me, this has become completely unusable amd turning my hair more grey.
Cheers,
Wade
@tl1238 Every once in awhile there are some random corruptions or unfixable errors that pop up. I don't know if that fits the bill, but I'd first try to save the PBIX file to a fresh file with the "Save as" under file. See if that fixes it. If not, submit a ticket for direct support.
