I have a PBI that was originally created in 2017.
My desktop software is current, updated to December 2019 version
However, I am unable to group multiple visuals.
When I select visuals and right click - only "copy" comes up in menu.
I checked options for report - there is not related box to check.
I also tried using the selection pane, but the ... doesn't allow grouping either.
Is there someway to get this working in this older version? or do I have to re-create everything (copying where possible) to get the grouping visuals option activated.
Hi @TRK ,
You need to press Ctrl + Click to select them in the selection pane. Then right click and it will show group options.
If you create a new file, could you group visuals in it?
hi,
yes, I was using ctrl + click to select and right click to group.
yes if I open a new PBI I can do this.
I ended up coping all the quesies into a new PBI and copying and pasting all the visuals, etc. into a new PBI and then I could group, but would prefer a solution that doesn't involve this, I have other older PBI's that I may want to use this new feature (or other new features) without having to recreate it.
any ideas?
Hi @TRK ,
did you try to export it as a "Power BI template" and then open it again?
Could you share a sample PBIX?
