Hi
Ive created a simple trend line that shows the count values and date as the axis. i then created a filter for months coming from a date table. this date table is connected to the main table. once i filter on the month as a single month selected the value of the trend shows date time instead of the expected date. ive checked the formats and they are all mm/dd/yyyy
@Anonymous , change the data format
Option 1: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-custom-format-strings
Option 2: Column/Measure Tools
HI
Amit ive checked and they all have the same format mm/dd/yy. im not sure why when i select a specific month it includes the time on the visual but the formatting shouldnt include it.
Hi @Anonymous ,
1. Check the date format in both the tables: Main table and date table; They should be the same
2. Try to create 2 new columns in both the tables for this requirement:
2.1: A new date column with format specified using below DAX:

@Anonymous this is the default behaviour, you will see time if you have few dates on the x-axis, nothing you can do about it.

Hi
so basically whats happening is a made a date table with dates and months columns.
on the date table is formatted like below.
I have this relationship between dates and main table.
i made a filter for months and when all of the months are selected the trend line visual looks ok. looks something like the below
but when i filter on a specific month. say august. the resulting visual doesnt jsut show the dates but intetead it includes a time formatting. my intended result should just be mm/dd/yyy but im getting mm/dd/yyyy hhh:mm see below
ijust need dates theres without the time.
ive checked teh formatting and they are all the same mm/dd/yy so not sure whats happening.
