Hi all,
I am taking over all PBI reporting form somebody who has left the organisation. I found out how to take over the reports in PBI Service but I will also need to be able to update the underlying data set in PBI Desktop, which is partly done manually (not my choice).
Do you have any tips how to do this?
I really don't want to be going down the route of copying the model and reconnecting everything which I don't even know if it would work.
I could access their account but I don't think that is a viable option for a longterm use either.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Jana

Hello @JanaP ,
If you have access to the workspace that has the report in the service, you could download the reports and work on it normally in power bi desktop.
there's no transfer access in power bi desktop, as long as you can download it from service, then you can edit the underlying report.
