the date filter not updating correctly when we have changed the year

Hello Team,
I have selected the year 2023 and set the date filter from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023, which works fine. However, when I scroll the date filter to January 1, 2023, to June 30, 2023, it still works correctly. But when I change the year filter to 2024, the date filter still shows 2023 and does not update or clear.

Does this help? 😊 If you need further adjustments or have more details to add, feel free to let me know!

Yes, your slicer should come from your year table.

Hello,

What is most likely happening is that there is no "year" field for your Year table and your Date table to connect to. I'm assuming the sales table you posted includes all of the columns present. The problem is that, in your Date Table, there is no field for it to reference to, and/or there is no date column in your year table that connects to the Sales table. Therefore your slicer is not working as expected.

Your two tables should look like this:
Year table:

Year Date
2024 30/12/2024
2024 31/12/2024
2025 01/01/2025
2025 01/01/2025

And your sales table should look like this:

Date Sales ID Sales Value
30/12/2024 1 100
30/12/2024 2 150
02/01/2025 3 175
02/01/2025 4 220

Then you want to connect the two tables on date, in a one-to-many relationship.

Hopefully his helps!

"Sorry, I forgot that in the date table I created a year column. I have provided the Year (Year) to Date (Year) in a one-to-many relationship."

Hello,

Without knowing much of how your model is set up, it will be hard to figure out specifically what may be going on with your data.
One thing you can consider is checking your "Edit interactions" in the format ribbon. Make sure your year slicer is interacting with your date slicer.
So in the screenshot below, once "Edit interactions" has been selected, make sure the "crossed out circle" icon is not selected (not grey), and the graph looking icon is selected (greyed, like in the picture).

In the picture below you see the date slicer changed when I pick FY2024

Hi@ExcelMonke,
Thank you  for help.
Yes, I have used the "Edit interactions" option.
I have two tables: the Year Table and the Date Table (Sales Table). I have established a one-to-many relationship between them.Year Table:

2020

2021

2022

2023

2024

......

Date Table:

IdDatetimeDateSales Value
11/1/2023:12:01:001/1/2023100
231/6/2023:12:59:0031/6/2023200
330/12/2023:12:59:0030/12/2023300
41/1/2024:12:00:001/1/2024400
531/7/2024:12:59:0031/12/2024500
612/8/2024:02:04:0012/8/2024100

2.when I scroll the date filter to January 1, 2023, to June 30, 2023, it still works correctly

3.when I change the year filter to 2024, the date filter still shows 2023(6/30/2023) and does not update.

when I change the year filter to 2024 I need to filtering this date range is 1/1/2024 to 31/12/2024.
How to do or how to add clear option in date filter.
Does this help?
