hello
I am very new to power bi, please excuse me if I am doing something wrong.
basically i have my table on excel and i uploaded it on power bi but the sum on excel is not the same as when i create a table on Power bi.
please see screenshots. what am i doing wrong? thanks for the help.
Try to Change datatypes to Fixed Decimal Number and set two decimal places.
Regards,
Lin
Please check the count also, Right-click on the measure in the visual pane and change Agg to count. Are rows matching?
Can you share sample data. If possible please share a sample pbix file after removing sensitive information.Thanks.

What do you mean Agg?
It is set at Sum.
The actual sum is correct but it is not correct for the actual categories.
its like it is not picking up all the sales for each category, for example the sales should be at 10000 euros, it is only showing 3000 euros.
As a first step. Check the count of rows in powerbi to ensure all rows are loaded.
If possible please share a sample pbix file after removing sensitive information.Thanks.
Hello
I realised that alot of the rows are missing.
Please see screenshot how some of the ID codes are missing.
Sorry for not sharing the file, its just that the data (numbers) it self is sensitive.
here is a clearer example and comparison between the excel data and PBI data.
As you can see the data in yellow is missing and the ones in green are appearing on PBI.
Please check you have the filter applied anywhere eg. in edit queries or page/report level filter.
if possibel, could you please remove sensitive data columns and share it for us have a test?
Regards,
Lin
I have no filters or anything. I literarly, just selected table as visualisation and selected sales and service name.
See screenshot:
From the screenshot, we could just guess that data is missing or data is filtered. we need more information about it.
since your data is sensitive, i would suggest you submit a support ticket to get further help from power bi support.

I did not filter anything.
the data is clearly missing but it is on the excel sheet as per the screenshot so why doesn't it appear on power bi.
The screenshot is not found.
