sort matrix visual using custom buttons outside visual

Hello Experts

 

I have a matrix visual where I am displaying product names, only sorting option I got is to click on the product name in column header that will sort either ascending/descending.

 

 

I have a requirement where I need to have 2 button above matrix visual and click on one button should sort ascending and other should sort the visual descending.

 

Unfortunately I couldn't find any way to do this where sorting of a visual is triggered by the other component outside the visual.

 

Any help is appretiated.

    Hi siva_powerbi ,

     

    You need to make sure that the DATA option is enabled when using filters on the report page along with the bookmarks.

    Hi siva_powerbi ,

     

    When you say sorting the matrix visual - does it mean you need 2 sorting buttons outside the matrix visual to sort the matrix visual by product Name in ascending/descending order?

     

    You can achieve this by using bookmarks and buttons in Power BI.

     

    But I am still struggling to understand that if there is already a sort icon against product Name column in matrix visual, why you require extrernal sort buttons.
