Hi answers at links like what you see at https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Desktop/copied-a-report-and-some-filters-dont-allow-remova... have gotten me pretty far. I'm reusing a live connection. And copying a visual from an existing report authored by one of my peers. And yet some of the visual's filters remain unremovable even though i started with a blank pbix.
So as far as i can tell I'm unable in both the service and desktop to see the underlying query which i believe is based on a tabular model cube. So i dont know if there are filters in the underlying query or just a cube connection. And as far as i know I have build permission.
my peers who own this dataset dont seem to know how to look at the underlyin query/connection. How can i describe to them what they should do to look underneath to see if any filters are specified?
i started adding a new report with my own live connection. And it appears every column i add to the table visual is white and non removeable on the desktop. And that the eyeball is the way to keep it from showing once published. Do i have this right?
but more importantly how do i instruct my peer how to look at the underlying query etc?
