slicer style "between" with start date as current date

Hello,

I have a table defined with activities from December 19th, 2024 till November 24th, 2025.

I am using slicer type "between" because I want to see past activities and future activites.

I am trying to confifure the slicer in order to at the day I open the dashboard, the start date would be set as the current date, but if i want to back for instance to the last week, I could handle using start date.

Please any suggestion?

Luis

Hi @luis_pflucker ,

You can try using preselected slicer:

I created simple example data:

vlinhuizhmsft_1-1736992563454.png

Please refer to the following steps:

1. Create a measure:

Pre Date =
VAR _today=TODAY()
RETURN
MAX('Date'[Date])>=_today

2. Create a new table:

_PreselectedSlicer = DATATABLE(
    "IsDirtySlicer", BOOLEAN,
    {
        {FALSE()},
        {TRUE()}
    }
)

3. Add a preselected slicer:

4. Result:

You can restore and clear the pre-selected effects by clicking on the reset and clear buttons in the upper right corner of the slicer.

Best Regards,
Zhu
