slicer for different date periods (Without Bookmarks)

I have a bunch of pages in my project which show data by day.  Alot of these pages have a Matrix on with some summarised data, with the date as the Row field.

We would like to give users the ability to change the way the date is being presented (daily, weekly (starting on a Monday), Weekly (starting on a Wednesday) etc etc).

We have these different periods in a date table.

I am wondering how I can create a slicer that will contain these different date periods, so the matrix and other visualisations change to the selected - without going down the route of bookmarks - where we are likely to have 5-10 different date versions for each page.

Thanks

Thanks Amit.  This is what I expected but not what I was hoping for.

Creating that many different matrices and charts for the various pages will just be unworkable I suspect.

@JamieH , As of now, bookmark, Unpivot column are the best options for import. For direct query, you have dynamic M parameter too
