share a report/dashboard through power bi desktop

can you share a report thorugh power bi desktop. We can do same through services; but here if any option that can avialble from Power BI Desktop directly?

Hi @zlokesh,

You cannot share reports from Power BI Desktop.

It is a desktop application just used to create reports, transform data, connect to myraid of data sources, publishing content on Power BI service etc.

Nonetheless, you can share  the pbix file over email, share on One Drive or any other cloud based sharing tool but that is not recommended as it leads to data silos.

No - the only method would be to share the PBIX file. Maybe keep it on a network drive/cloud option that multiple people have access to?

That's the whole point of the PBI service though. Desktop is just for design, the Service is for sharing and collaboration.
