select Semantic Mode in Direct Lake Mode
I recently installed the latest version of Power BI Desktop and encountered an issue where, upon opening the application, I am immediatly presented with a dialog box stating: Live select semantic mode in Direct Lake Mode and begin editing it using Power BI Desktop. The problem is that this dialog box does not close, and I am unable to interact with any other part of the Power BI interface. Even after force-closing and restarting Power BI Desktop, the same message appers again, making the application completely unusable.
Hi Amit_Shinde Could you try clearing the Power BI cache and resetting its settings? If that doesn’t resolve the issue, reinstalling Power BI or editing the registry to disable Direct Lake Mode might help. If issue still presists then please contact Microsoft Support
