region not found on PBI map

Hello,

I would like to plot certain data using the map visualisation option. The problem I encounter is the fact that one of my "region" fields it is not being recongnized by the map, it is not being found nor projected. The name of the region is Whych Farm.   On a regular google map, I can easily find it. But on the Power BI map, the closest to this region is BP Exploration Operating Co Limited. Can this be fixed in any way ? Appart from me replacing the region name in my file by the closest one on the PBI map in the visualisation panel.

Thanks very much

hi  @elefi

If it is Wytch Farm instead of Whych Farm , I use google map to search this region, it returns Wytch Farm.

@elefi how you are viewing your data on region? Are you using Latitude and Longitude?

Hello,

Actaully, I only have a table like the one below : first column country, second one, sales with the corresponding amounts

And I plot this data using a map option in the Visualisation panel

Most of the countries are recognised on the map and properly displayed, appart for Whych Farm.

So no, no GPS data used to display all that.

@elefi can you share sample data? Wht did you setup data category for your column?

Hete attached the table I try to capture on a map.

If I do not assign any cathegory to the first column, everything is displayed except for Wytch Farm.

If I assign the "Country" one, then everything is displayed appart from Norwhich and Wytch Farm, two regions in UK (which is understandable). What is funny, is that if I setup the category "Region" to the same column, the 2 regions below are not recongnised nor diplayed...
