Greetings to everyone,
I am a user of Power BI reports and new to the community.
After installing the latest desktop Power BI (Jan 2024), the option "Edit group" is missing from context menu of a group field. Instead a different context menu is shown after right-clicking the group field, See screenshot:
For background info, the particular group field will use a pre-defined single name format (First and Last name) for each person who may appear under different names (variations such as last name only, first name only, first letter of first name + last name etc) in the report. I used to be able to update the group field to accomodate new vairations in names.
I would be grateful if someone can tell me how to access the Edit group menu or otherwise how to edit a group field on Power BI destktop.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I have solved the issue by using an older local version of the pbix file, updated the name group and replaced the one on the server thru Publishing command.
I suspect the previous Server file was not compatible with the latest Power BI Desktop.
Thanks for your msg.
Cheers
