problems when publishing updates from desktop - subscriptions removed

I want to start by saying this applies to desktop and online.

I am running into a problem whenever I publish any updates from my desktop version to the online service. 

The Problem:  I have about 30-50 users at works subscribing to reports that I have built in power bi desktop, but whenever I publish an update to the report it removes ALL subscriptions.   I have tried finding other forums or threads that discuss this issue and have had no luck.  

Are others having this same issue, and has anyone found a solution?
