hi is it possible to pass slicer value selected by end user to power query? i dont want to load full list of data as it seems to be huge
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Slicer works on visual level, it will not filter the underlying data. You could create a query parameter and use it to filter data when you loading data.

@Anonymous , Check if Dynamic M parameter can help

Hi Amit,
Dynamic M paramater work only when we use direct query. We have source data as power bi dataset.
Exceptation is the paramater set in power query need to be added in slicer and shown to user to select it power bi service, or in anyway end user who as only viewer access should be able to change the values of paramater. please advise
unfortunely not!!!
