new calculated column using dates
Hi,
I need to calculate max expected lag = today()-[no of lag days] and get a date answer as the output. However I keep getting 43743 type text and I am unable to convert this into date.
When I create the calculation using DAX, this new column doesn't show up in the query editor and I am unable to convert the data type.
Try this:
Date.AddDays(DateTime.LocalNow(), -1 * [no of lag days])
And you can change the type of the custom column to Date.

Today is my very first day using PowerBI. I will try creating this in DAX. but is there a way to create calculated fields in the backend/edit query window? I can only find if condition there

Thank you, that worked as a custom column
