Hi! The issue you're facing is quite common in Power BI. Even if you've set all your settings to Italian, Power BI Desktop may still display month names in English based on your system or model settings.

Here are the steps to ensure month names appear in Italian without using a DAX formula:

  1. Check your Windows language settings: Power BI inherits some formatting preferences from the operating system. Make sure your Windows language and regional settings are set to Italian.
  2. Verify Power BI regional settings:
Go to File → Options and settings → Options → Regional Settings and select Italian (Italy). Ensure this setting is also applied when importing data into your model.
  3. Check the column format in the data model:
If your date column is formatted as "Date" (not "Text"), Power BI uses the model locale to display month names. Open the Data Model view, select the column, ensure it's set to "Date", and set the format to "MMMM" for full month names.
  4. Model language and PBIX file locale: If the PBIX file was originally created with an English setup, it may retain metadata in English. In this case, consider creating a new PBIX file with Italian settings and re-import the data from the original file.

Note: Some visuals, such as tables or matrices, may still display in English if Power BI doesn't fully detect the regional settings. If that’s the case, the only workaround may be to use a custom date table with pre-filled month names in Italian.
