Can you turn off a matrix visual so that it will not be affected by a filter selection? I know how to effectivly use the interactions, but trying to see if I can turn off a matrix visual from being affected by any filter selections?
Hi @jnettle
Another workaround is that you can create a new table which only has data to be displayed in the matrix visual. Make this new table disconnected with any other table in your model. Use columns only from this table into the matrix visual. In this way, it will not be filtered by any filter/slicer from other tables. You can use DAX functions to aggregate / summarize data from other tables into the new table.

@jnettle if you have a page or report level filter, it will be applied to all the visuals on the page, no way to exclude visuals. So only way is to apply visual level filters on all the visuals on the page except matrix visual which maybe not be ideal.
