Hello,
I have a dimensional table containing one column I want to use as key. I removed all duplicates, null and empty values. The datatype is text the format too. I want to have a reationship to my fact table with the 1:n cardinality but Power bi allows n:1 not 1:n. why is that so?
Best regards
wbart

@wbart , There should some problem still be key column. Manually try to force 1-N, if give error, try this to check.
From your dimension table. Take the key column and put that on table visual (as not summarized), Again drag the same column with count as summarization. Sort on count you should be any value >1 .
Sort on key, you should not see any null/blank value.
In case there is some issue resolve it. If not
Can you share a sample pbix after removing sensitive data.

After removing duplicates same phrases with different capitals still in the column! Thank you for your advice.
