keep history in power bi desktop

Hello,

I am a beginner in power bi and I am trying to set up simple things to experiment and I still have difficulties to understand the ecosystem. I would like to keep in power bi desktop the history of my data in order to make statistics of data evolution.

My research has led me to the incremental refresh but I have the impression that this feature is configured in power bi desktop but is only effective after publication in a power bi premium / pro.

Could you please confirm this understanding? Is an approach in power bi desktop possible?

Hi @abert ,

The incremental refresh policy will only take effect after refreshing in Service.

Based on my testing, if you only have the free license, then you can upload the dataset configured for incremental refresh to "My Workspace" and configure the scheduled refresh.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.
