i am using customer table (customerid, customername) which has 4 records in sql server database
i unchecked "include in report refresh" option in Power BI as shown below in power query for customer table
i published report in power bi service (i am using personal gateway)
i inserted one more record inside customer table in sql server
i refreshed semantic model (dataset) of that report in power bi service
should the report in power bi service display 5 customers ?
i tested this and it still shows 4 customers, is this expected behaviour?

No difference. It's not a setting tied to a tool. It's a setting tied to the semantic model.

Hello, I have a problem with that option.
In my published reports I try to deselect "Include in report update" and "Enable upload". I publish the report and when I download it again to make some changes and enter the PowerQuery I see that all the tables that I configure in that way have the "Include in the update of the report" activated again, the load is still not enabled but I am updating historical data that makes it take me about 2 hours to refresh the GDP. Can anyone help me?
Hi @powerbiexpert22 ,
At my knowledge, it’s by design. After turning off this setting, the server refresh will not obtain new data.

powerbiexpert22,
You explicitly chose to exclude the table from the report refresh and the table was excluded from the report refresh. That seems correct. Can you elaborate on your the confusion?

Hi @Wilson_ ,
i wanted to confirm, "Include in report refresh" option is only applicable for power bi desktop or it is applicable on power bi service as well?
