imported data not refreshshing in visuals
- 3 months ago
Hello vickster3659,
The 12th CSV was likely imported successfully, but not added to the final appended query used by the visuals.
Check the following:
- Confirm the 12th file contains rows in Power Query.
- Verify the Append step includes the new file/query.
- Ensure column names and data types match the previous files.
- Select Close & Apply to refresh the model.
- Check for filters or slicers excluding the new month.
For future monthly files, using Folder import is usually easier and more scalable than manually appending CSVs each month in Microsoft Power BI Desktop.

Hello, Thank you so much to everyone who has responded.
I decided to start from scratch today, using the same data. This time, I can Append Jan & Feb into a combined table (GLDetail), but when I import anything after that, it will not append to GLDetail. These are the same files I used in my first attempt, so columns, etc are the same.
What does happen when I go to Append is a little yellow triangle warning symbol shows up next to the new imported file, and the GLDetail table. Is this telling me there is something wrong with the csv I am using? Why would March through November have worked in my first attempt?
I may go back to the first attempt and try to make changes, but I am losing confidence with this.
Thanks for everyone's help@!
Can u share the screenshot of steps till you get the error ?
This may be due to different format also. Just a guess..
