Hi experts, I created a matrix, row level has two layers, first layer is field parameter which can switch dimensions between region, and expense type, the second layer is city
the problem is rows show only first layer, only when I click expand to next level it can shows the city level;
when I click the button switch dimensions of first layer, I want to display the two hierarchies directly without click the expand to next level; I know it can be done by add bookmarks, but it's too time consuming, so do you know how to set the second layer expanded as default without adding the bookmark?
only when i click expand to next level it shows 2nd level, but I swtich the button, it did not expand again
Hi, @oakfootballclub
Unfortunately, Power BI doesn't currently provide built-in capabilities to automatically scale all levels of the hierarchy when switching dimensions without some form of user interaction. But you can use bookmarks as an alternative. Or right-click directly in the matrix and select Expand All.
If you want to turn it off, you can also right-click and select Collapse All

I know that it can be solved by using bookmarks, but is there alternative solution other than bookmark?
@oakfootballclub , I doubt that as of now, field parameters can expand it. So you might have to use bookmark workaround
