Hello,
I have created a lot of measures in my power bi report. The measures eventually displayed in visual cards or gauges are measures based on other measures.
In the process of checking if the results are correct, I would need an easy way to check the value of all my measures, ideally by hovering over the measure, but that doeasn't seem to be the case. Is there a "hidden" option somewhere to do so ?
Adding a visual card for every single "sub-measure" temporarily is really cumbersome.
Thanks for your help.
Hello @Anonymous,
Click on the measure you want to view the value of.
In the Visualizations pane, go to the "Values" section. This section displays the value of the selected measure in a table format.
If you want to view the value of another measure, simply click on that measure and the "Values" section will update to display its value.
You can also use the "Tooltips" section in the Visualizations pane to display the value of a measure when hovering over a visual. To do this, drag the measure you want to display to the "Tooltip" field well in the Visualizations pane.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hello, thanks for your answer but when I do so, it adds a visual in the report, so there is no difference with me adding a card visual and setting the value of the measure in it.
We are talking about this in yellow right ? :
I don't understand your tooltip idea. If I already have a visual where the value of the measure is displayed, I don't need to have it as well in a tooltip. What I want is to quickly see the values of the measures that are used to build my other measure.
Can you clarify, I maybe didn't understand correctly ?
