how to get rid of blank slicers?

aliffe_0-1728541367438.png

why do i get double "USA" data there?

  • i tought it was because there is extra spaces in the "USA" but i tried to trim it and it doesn't resolve the problem
  • it makes my slicers and chart have some blank data

Hi @aliffe

Check the relationship b/w your Sales and Geography tables. Make sure that 1 to * (one to many) relationship. I also faced the same problem bcz of many to many relationship.

Hi @aliffe

One of the USA probably has an invisible extra character in it. Try trimming it  in Power Query.

i did trim it but still i have 2 "USA" and it make my chart and slicers have a blank data.

Which column did you trim? The one with 2 USAs. If trimming didn't work there are most likely other characters in there that trimming couldn't remove. If so, duplicate the query containing that column. Remove all other columns except for the one in question then remove duplicates. Inspect the actual values of USA then just replace it with the correct value. The actual value could be USA#(lf)  for line feed or #(cr) for carriage return

Alternatively, I would do a Text.Select([column], {"a".."z", "A".."Z"}) custom column.
