@TRK , what is the format of the date. Typically if the system is using US date format and you get UK date format this kind of issue is common(or vise versa). Or it the date different format like 12-01-20 12/01/2020
If either in power query or in Data view(column tools), if you are able to change data type to date it should. Just need to make sure that your date table has all the required dates.
