how to disable automatic refresh on my powerBI desktop file?

I have a powerBI file where my datasource (csv files) doesn't get updated the same time every month. Sometimes it might be the first of the month, sometimes, 5th, and so on.

My report already has measures created where it'll pull data up through the previous month (i,e March 31st).  However, since it's only april 1st and I dont have march data yet, I want it to to still pull through february.

Ideally, I want my desktop file to not autorefresh and only refresh when I hit the "Refresh" button.

Is this possible?

The .pbix (desktop file) will only refresh when you manually trigger a refresh.  A scheduled refresh only occurs in Power BI Service, and only when you set up scheduled refresh against a personal or on-premise gateway.

SO you should be fine just working on your desktop version with your current data.
