greater than or equal to [version number- 16.0.10827.20150 ]
is this possible? need to compare version number values with 3 decimal points. if i treat it as a string it won't be able to do a greater than or equal to. hope that made sense!

Based on my test, you could use the RIGHT function to get the last three number:
Column = RIGHT('Table1'[Version],3)
Result:

just delete points and compare like a whole number?
for example,
old-> 1601082720150
new -> 1601082720151
new > old
