Hello community,
not an expert, so i thought i would ask your help.
I created my dashboard and published. However, I am not able to disable the gateway option. I saw other colleagues having the possibility to disable it and proceed with scheduled refresh, while for me the option is not possible till i do not pick a gateway.
Do you know how to work this around?
Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous
Your picture shows that you don't install the gateway successfully.
Please check the document i share previously if you follow the correct steps.
Note: you need to sign in with your Power BI account when installing a gateway.
Why we need gateway:
The gateway facilitates quick and secure behind-the-scenes communication between a user in the cloud, to your on-premises data source, and then back to the cloud.
For a on-premise datasource, to configure schedule refresh, we need a gateway installed in the same server as the datasource.
For a online datasource, no gateway is needed.

Hi Maggie, thanks a lot for your answer.
I installed it, but why do I need a gateway at all? Can't I do the refresh without it?
Even when installed, I still do not have the possibility to disable it, do you know why?
Thanks a lot!
Emanuele
