hi I originally import data source from excel into Power query without convert it into table
i further removing a few columns from excel file, got error message upon refeshing in power query
i would like to avoid this error message for all future use..
if i convert the file into table, will this prevent error message like below?
thank you for your help and time
Thank you Greg,
that was exactly what it is.. but is there a way to automate this? i.e. if i remove a column A with previous steps ( say changing type), subsequently remove column A from source file, will Power query simply just recognize no such column as A once i refresh it?
thank you
Zoey
@zraopingm I would recommend opening your query in Advanced Editor and searching for the removed column names. They are probably referenced in a "Changed Type" step at least. Remove the references to the removed columns and you should be OK.
