email subscription as image

can i receive image of power BI report as an email attachment on daily basis ? can it be possible using subscriptions?

  • Hi powerbiexpert22 ,

Yes, it is possible to receive an image of a Power BI report as an email attachment on a daily basis using the subscriptions feature in Power BI. Power BI allows users to set up report subscriptions where the content can be delivered directly to their inbox. When a user subscribes to a report or dashboard, Power BI sends an email that includes either a snapshot image of the report page or a link to the report itself.

However, there are some important details to keep in mind. The email typically contains an image preview of the report as it appears at the time of refresh, along with a link to view it in Power BI. This functionality is supported in both Power BI Service and Power BI Premium, but some features like attachment support (PDF, PowerPoint, or Excel) may require Power BI Premium or a Pro license, depending on the workspace setup.

If your goal is to receive just the image itself as an email attachment, you may need to explore additional tools or automation using Power Automate or third-party services to extract and send the image directly. But for basic needs, subscribing to a Power BI report will send you an email with an embedded snapshot image of the report page, which might fulfill your requirements.

Power BI email subscriptions can send a snapshot image of the report page or visual in the email body, on a scheduled basis (daily, weekly, etc.)

Hi, is it possible to insert the Power BI report as an image in the body of the email? The preview of the report is too small, and I don't want to make users click on the attachment.
