can parameter rules in deployment pipeline be set up only at semantic model level? let say if i have 50 reports in a workspace and all 50 reports are using 50 different semantic models ( all semanti...

    Parameter rules can be configured for semantic models, and the following table lists the types of projects for which rules can be configured, as well as the types of rules that can be configured for each project.


    In Fabric, when items are connected, one item depends on the other. For example, a report always depends on the semantic model to which it is connected. A semantic model can depend on another semantic model, or it can be connected to multiple reports that depend on it. If there is a connection between two projects, the deployment pipeline always tries to maintain this connection.

    In some cases, you may not want to use automatic binding. For example, if there is a pipeline for developing organizational semantic models and another pipeline for creating reports. In this case, you may want all reports to always connect to the semantic model of the production phase of the pipeline to which they belong. For this reason, avoid using the auto-binding feature.
