I would like to format the number with thousand seperator and currency symbol. Below is the measure I created. For some reason, the thousound seperator is not working. So instead of showing $1,700, the reporting showing $1.700. How can I fix the thousand seperator?
HI @Jeanxyz ,

No the problem is not solved. I think there might be a bug in Power BI. It takes the number format defined by original report creator, I can not overwrite it in my Window setup or Power BI setup
I forgot to mention, the back-end data model use English (Belgium). This seems to be ok because I used the same format() measure in another report, which also use English(Belgium). The thousand seperator is displayed as comma in that report.
@Jeanxyz I don't have a quick answer without going deep and see what is what in this case. Hopefully someone else is familiar with this scenario and could reply here.
@Jeanxyz I think you have in the language definition of the PBIX a region that has . instead of , for numbers. Check your region settings and change it to something like US or UK
I have checked that, it use "," as a seperator, I also checked number format setup in my PC, it also uses "," as a seperator.
If I open a new Power BI file, the measure works well. I think there might be a bug in PB itself, it records the region or windows setup when a file is created (in my case, the pbix file is created by someone else) and it doesn't get updated when users change the setup later.
