cumulative running totals on a graph for the result of a merge

I have performed a merge between two columns that have differences in numeric
value, some row have no differences.
So the result is a custom column with 0, - 129089 or +1298767 as example
for the result of the merge.

I want to display the trend of increases over the 6 weeks of the gathering
of the data for the top 1000 increases. Either on a table or graph.

Example test values are as below.

I have seem cululative graphs for the total over time. But I need to focus on the rows.

Over time which rows are increaseing the most.

Hi @dmcn_pbi ,

Seems like your expected output not very clear. For example, did 6 weeks mean last 6 weeks since totay's week or a designated 6 week range. Also, I'm not certain what did 'focus on the rows' mean. 

Could you please share more details about this issue for further discussion? Expected output would help tremendously.

I am not sure if the example I am workign through is the correct one for this case.

The real data has about 2500 per date.

I want to be able to show rox has been increasing by x over the various date ranges.

Suggested needed output below, not for every row, but for the range of 2500, show the top 500 increaseing rows in each date range.

                1 week     1 month      3 month     6 months

rowx     +100            +500          500                +1500

between month 1 and three there was no increase. Between month3 and 6 there was +1000 increase.

Now that I have prepared a sample .pbix file how do I upload it here, I cant see the method.

Hi,

   This is an example needed result if we look back one month from today, that is 16/6/2020. In this case at that time the sizes

has decreased, as can happen in real life, but the opposite is more likely. 

I will upload the pbix file when I can but can not see the method to do that. 

file1-file2 is the result of the custom column creation and the subtraction of the files during that creation . In my creation of the file2 I increased the values too much and hence we have - values. But in the real data we have positive and negative values.

    Thanks for your reply.

Focus on the row means I dont want a cumlative total of the rows I need a cumlative total of one row based on name.

So for for Name_1, if we have data for the last 6 months, what was its cumlative value based on row name one month ago, 6 weeks ago
6 months ago. So a cumlative total for each of those time ranges going back in time from now.

over a smaller number of rows, but for this example it does not work.
Bear in mind that there are 250...
