creating multiple rows: Expression.Error: A cyclic reference was encountered during evaluation.

I have something like

Table1

1, bob;mike;paul, 2, 3

I need to split this into multiple rows. Something like:

1, bob, 2, 3

1, mike, 2, 3

1, paul, 2, 3

I've referenced this: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/split-values-into-multiple-rows/td-p/107946 and tried creating a custom column but gives me a Expression.Error: A cyclic reference was encountered during evaluation.

= Table.AddColumn(Table1,"Custom", each Table.FromColumns({Text.Split([Column2], ";")}))

Please help this newbie 🙂 I'm guessing i'm missing something obvious...

You might not have references the existing objects in your query correctly.

Please post your full query code for further investigation.
