Hi
I have a slicer with parameter (number of 1 to 20). I want to have a vertical slicer. I only get these:
But I don't want checkbox , I want to have a line with a point that it moves around the line.
Could you help me please?
Thanks
Hi @absolut33,
Sorry I was mistaken @MFelix you are correct, at this time, Power BI does not support a vertical orientation for the slider-style slicer natively. The slicer visual only provides the slider interface when set to horizontal orientation, and the option to switch that slider into a vertical layout is currently not available in the default slicer settings.
We understand the value of such a feature for better user interaction, especially in cases where vertical screen real estate is preferred. If this is a critical requirement for your report design, you may consider the following workarounds:
Explore custom visuals from AppSource such as Slicer PRO visuals. Please note that many of these may require a premium license.
We also appreciate your feedback and encourage you to submit or upvote this suggestion on the Power BI Ideas Portal, so the product team can consider adding this in future releases.

Hi @absolut33,
Welcome to Microsoft Fabric Community Forum and Thank you for your question!
It looks like you're currently using a list-style slicer with checkboxes to display values from 1 to 20, but you’re aiming for a cleaner, more interactive vertical slider with a draggable point instead.
To achieve this in Power BI, you can modify your slicer to use a slider format. Select the slicer visual, go to the Visualizations pane, and change the slicer type to “Between” or “Less than or equal to” from the dropdown. This will transform it into a slider-based interface. If you prefer a vertical layout, open the Format pane, navigate to General -- Orientation, and switch it to Vertical.
Also, ensure your parameter column is numeric to enable this functionality. If you want only one value to be selectable at a time, you can go to the Format pane -- Selection controls, turn on "Single select," and turn off "Multi-select with CTRL." This will give you a clean, user-friendly slider experience. Feel free to reach out if you need help building a parameter table or linking this slider to specific measures.

Hi @v-sgandrathi ,
I'm not sure where you got this answer but to my knowledge there is no orientation option on the slicer visual to allow the slider to be vertical instead of horizontal.

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi @absolut33 ,
I believe you want to have slider like it's available on the horizontal layout, if that is the case that option is not available on the slicer currently.
You can try and see if it's available on the appsource custom visuals store. (https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/apps?product=power-bi-visuals)
