conditional sum based on outcome of a measure

Hi there,

I'm trying to find a way to get the total of all values which are eqaul to maximum value of a different column in the same table. a simplified excel example per below.

maxsum.PNG

I've got a measure defining the maximum value. I was thinking of using a different measure using this 'maximum value' measure as a condition using a filter. something like this:

calculate(sum(table[value]),filter(table, table[ageing]=[maximumageing].

This appears not to give the correct value though (which in above example would need to be 615.

suggestions are well appreciated! thanks

Try placing the MEASURE in a  varaiable first

=
VAR mymeasure = [maximumageing]
RETURN
    CALCULATE ( SUM ( table[value] ), FILTER ( table, table[ageing] = mymeasure ) )
