conditional formatting based on each column
I'm creating a cohort analysis, where I have Aging (months) on Rows and company size on Columns. My values are my remaining customers. I then added conditional formatting background color, but I noticed it applies to the values on all rows (227 is the maximum) and I want the color gradient to be applied to each column separately. Is there a way to do that?
Select the Table or Matrix Visual: Click on the table or matrix visual where you want to apply the conditional formatting.
Open Conditional Formatting: Go to the "Format" pane, expand the "Conditional formatting" section, and select the field you want to format.
Choose Background Color: Click on the "Background color" option.
Format by Field Value: In the conditional formatting settings, choose "Format by" and select "Field value".
Select the Field: Choose the field that contains the values you want to use for the color gradient. This should be the same field that is used in the column you are formatting.
Apply to Each Column Separately: Repeat the above steps for each column you want to format separately. This way, each column will have its own color gradient based on its own values.
