Hi
Within Power BI can I archive data for future use when the source data is constantly changing.
For example on monday the number of active clients in a business is 256, Tuesday 259, wednesday 247.
This number is changing constantly but is not date stamped in the system it is just a count of the active field.
Can I take a snap shot each day of specific fields to build a data set with PowerBI (day after day) or does the data have to be pooled elswhere out side of PowerBI and then Power BI just looks at the one data source?
Thanks
Ed

Storing and using information from a dynamic data source using PBI desktop, you can refer to this case.
