can i limit the amount of rows power query brings in from csv/excel files

is there any way of telling power query to limit the rows you want to bring in?

Hi vanessafvg,

 

Currently power query can only import all rows into power bi. You can submit your idea: https://ideas.powerbi.com.

Hi @vanessafvg,

 

It depends on the data source you are pulling from.

Example: If its a SQL Server Database then you can write SQL Query to restrict the data at the source itself.
