can I make an upload bottom

I have several years excel file which are all glossary files and each file contain 5 pages. I planning to do a yearly update of the glossary excel but keep the pervious years here in the report and I can select different years' glossary. But the excel file is not suitable for transform data because it is a print ready format report, I just want a way to upload the excel and see what is shown in the excel in the power pi report. How can I create an upload bottom to upload the glossary excel file.

Hi @henry24007

You can place the files in sharepoint or onedirve. Power BI automatically can read all the files from your folders and process and show the report. If the file has date or year information then you can use to slice the data in Power BI. I mean no manual work is needed like download specific excels.

Thanks

Hari

Hi,

We dont have upload button option by defult in Power BI. Since you need to see what is shown in excel as a Power BI report and also more excels files. Use Folder data source in Power BI Desktop - Power Query and you should be able to get the data into Power Query layer and then to Power BI report.

You mentioned, print format. if that is not a image in excel then Power BI can handle it.

Thanks

Hari

how about this: can I upload the glossary excels to sharepoint or something like one drive and make a download button to download the select year of glossary excels in the report?
