auto refresh based on detect change based on multiple tables

I have aboubt 7 tables, and there are 2 tables i would like to track for changes to which will trigger an auto refresh.  In one of tables, if there is a new row entry and if there is a modification to field in an existing row already I want to trigger refresh.  Then in the second table, the same conditions.  But in the change detection configuration, it only allows for one measure to track for.  What can I do to get this to work.  I was thinking of joining tables, but i am trying to avoid this.  Thanks
