auto definition of data fields
Hi,
When i create database queries, why does power bi decides to mark as SUM, or COUNT some of my fields? I don't want this to happen as it's often wrong.
I then have to go back and change it to number from SUM etc. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Thank you.
hi, Anonymous
By default, Power BI detects numeric columns and sets the summarization property to sum (or count).
You could change it in Modeling-Properties
Of course, you could batch update them in Model view as below:
Multi-Selected the fields, then click Properties->Advabced->Summarize by
You could choose SUM/COUNT/AVERAGE, of course, if you don't want them be summarized, just choose "None"
Best Regards,
Lin
