Hi
In the October update we saw analytics grouping as a new feature that was demonstrated on a column chart. Does this feature extend to other visualisations?
I'd like to do grouping in tables similar to how it was showing in the column chart.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Firstly You can create groups in the column chart and once the new grouping field is created in your data model, You can use that in the Tables or any other visualizations.

In Power BI Desktop, to use analytics grouping, we need to select data points within a visual so that it can create a grouping field for these selected values. So this need to be done within visuals which support selecting values directly (like chart, map). You can't do it in table/matrix directly. As @BhaveshPatel said, once this grouping field is created in your dataset, it can be used in any visuals.

When I select the data in Visual and right click, I do not have the option for "Group" as part of the menu. How can I make this field active?
I have the same issue
