Issue: how should I best show a count of the race fields below to show on a chart like below, but make them drillable and drill through so detail can be seen for associated records?
I thought about unpivoting and making a new column called race, but the issue with that is that I may have a row that has 2 or more race values ( like in my first record) . When I unpivot I cant have a single row with multiple race values. I'm trying to get my output to look similar to the pie chart below. Also when you unpivot, how do you account for the races that are blank because another field is true (dmnd in my example)
Hi @jmitch3062 ,
Can you clarify your issue more clearly and post data which can be copied instead of a screenshot?
Also add description what is dmnd column, it will make clear conext and so we can understand the problem. e.g. if race is not available, then 'not reported' or 'unknown' should be filled up or you have to do it in power query, but your dmnd column have some meaning and so there should be no data there, so we do not know all this.
before you do that, one suggestion is to use multiple visual to access row data, for example if click portion of pie chart, nearby visual filter individual values, or a report tooltip show details of all that values by hovering over cursor.
Hope it helps.
